Proposals are now being accepted for the second annual AGO Virtual Pedagogy Conference, Oct. 8 - 10, 2026:
THE ORGANIST'S TOOLKIT
The organ world continues to face challenges in attracting, inspiring, and retaining students of all ages and experience levels. The AGO Second Annual Virtual Pedagogy Conference is designed to support both teachers and learners by providing innovative pedagogical tools, practical resources, engaging discussions, and meaningful networking opportunities. Through presentations on contemporary teaching methods, technology integration, creative learning strategies, and diverse repertoire, this conference seeks to inspire organists at every stage of their musical journey and help ensure a vibrant future for the instrument.
DAILY THEMES
Thursday: What's in a Toolkit?
Exploring the resources, skills, and perspectives that support successful teaching and learning.
Friday: The Learner's Journey: Building Your Toolkit
Strategies for developing musicianship, confidence, creativity, and lifelong engagement with the organ.
Saturday: The Mentor's Role: Refreshing Your Toolkit
Encouraging growth through mentorship, community, collaboration, and evolving pedagogical practices.

PRESENTATION PROPOSALS
Interested in presenting at the conference? We invite proposals for presentations, workshops, panels, and creative sessions related to organ pedagogy, teaching strategies, learning experiences, repertoire, technology, mentorship, and community engagement. Proposal submissions are due by July 8, 2026. Invited presenters will be notified by August 1, 2026. For questions, contact Michelle Kardos, Director of Education.
